Local Centre of Education is a 'no germ' zone

A team of school cleaners equipped with the Jangro range have ensured a local centre of learning is a ‘no germ zone’.

The announcement came after a science lesson, when pupils studying microbes and disease were swabbing surfaces to find bacteria they could grow in dishes in the science lab.

Wray Bros Hygiene AuditAfter leaving the dishes for a week, the pupils returned to discover no bacteria had grown – proof that all of the surfaces they had checked were germ-free.

Obviously, the cleaning team where delighted with the news, the pupils were slightly less thrilled as they had to refer to textbook pictures for rest of the lesson

Wray Bros supplier of the cleaning products, is equally proud of the achievement.  Mark Wray added: “High standards of hygiene are not arrived at by accident, there are no short cuts in achieving them. High standards are the product of knowledge, hard work and wise investment. The only way to maintain high standards is by hard work but often this effort can go unrecognised."

Worries about outbreaks of Swine Flu and the issue of MRSA play an increasing concern for public health in a modern society. Cleaning operatives are employed at the forefront and the main weapon in combating these health issues. At last, it seems the importance of the role of the cleaning operative is becoming more respected and appreciated.

I was delighted to receive a positive acknowledgment of the cleaning standards adopted. These standards where achieved by using quality cleaning materials and equipment in the hands of a group of hard working cleaning operatives.
