Has your role evolved during your time here?
Oh yes I do all the accounts right up to year end level, look after certain roles in HR and I do the wages for the company too.
Debbie Woodworth has been a vital part of Wray Bros for decades. Starting part-time before moving into her current three-day-a-week role, Debbie has seen the business grow and evolve; from a small family-run operation to a bustling company with teams across departments.
Known for her dedication and expertise, Debbie manages the company’s accounts right up to year-end, handles payroll, and even oversees parts of HR. Her attention to detail and deep understanding of the business make her an essential member of the team.

Credit Control / Finance Officer
2004–Present
Debbie once ran two full sets of accounting systems at the same time when Wray Bros took over Allclean, proof that she really can juggle numbers!
The company has grown, with a lot more staff in all different kinds of roles and, of course, we’ve all got a bit older, ha-ha!
Graham and Mark have stayed the same. Some things never change!
Yes, I remember it well. It was a long day shadowing different people to see what each person did. I worked a full week at the start, and then went onto my usual three days a week.

When we took over Allclean, I was running two sets of accounting systems until we got them amalgamated. It was definitely a busy time!
Challenging. Rewarding. Supportive.
Yes, Jayne from Purchasing and Chris Davies in the warehouse. We all look out for each other. I’ve also stayed in contact with staff members who’ve left.
It’s great being involved with customers' accounts departments. Most are always willing to help, and it’s nice speaking with people who understand how important it is for us to get paid on time.
I love the job I do. We all have bad days sometimes, but overall it’s a great place to work, and I get along really well with Graham, who I work alongside.
If there’s baking in the kitchen, it’s probably Debbie.
Driving an Aston Martin and using a John Deere tractor, just to name two from Debbie's well-kept list!
Yep, she’s done it. A woman of many wonders.
Enjoys card crafts, confetti wedding frames, and other handmade creations.
Debbie was the last person I interviewed, back in August 2004, when she applied for the Account role at Wray Bros. In the 21 years since that interview, Debbie has become an instrumental part of both Wray Bros’ success and my own. Thank you, Debs.
I’ve worked with Debs for 21 years, and in that time she’s become not just a colleague but a dear friend. We’ve shared so many fun times together outside of work, from concerts to markets and everything in between. Debs is caring, loyal, incredibly organised, and her attention to detail is second to none. And let’s not forget her legendary Guinness cakes at Wray Bros always worth breaking the diet for!
