Founded by brothers Graham and Mark Wray in Toxteth, Liverpool, our journey began selling repurposed rags under the name “Willy Wiper.” From these modest beginnings, we have grown steadily into a leading supplier, proudly supporting schools, councils, and facility management companies nationwide.
Our success is built on a simple promise: to deliver quality products, reliable service, and competitive prices. Operating from a 48,000 sq ft premises, supported by a fleet of delivery vans and a dedicated team, we ensure every order is fulfilled promptly and tailored to meet the specific needs of our customers.

Focused on cloth cleaning rags and soon expanded into hand towels. Gained national coverage.
HRH The Prince of Wales (now King Charles III) visited. We’ve met him 6 times since.
Hired Jayne Billingsley, still with the company today. She was the only applicant at the time.
Celebrated a decade in business. Introduced signage and labelling to improve professionalism.
Bought a 16,000 sq ft Victorian warehouse for £32,000, establishing a permanent base.
Entered into the PPE and safety products market by aquiring JTD Safety Services.
Joined the Jangro network, improving pricing, marketing, and collective buying power.
Rebranded to Wray Bros Ltd to reflect growth and diversification into disposable products.
Spearheaded by Mark Wray, as Jangro had no HQ or staff employed at the time.
Won Liverpool City Council tender against 15 competitors, securing a long standing contract.
Purchased 4,500 sq ft Caryl Street building to support growth and future expansion.
Entered protective clothing industry, requiring new supply chain and manufacturing equipment.
Purchased The Alima Centre in Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle, which became a hub for creative industries.
Launched to improve communication for the facility management industry by providing bespoke training.
Welcomed The Liverpool Theatre School into The Alima Centre, training students to degree level.
Relocated distribution during COVID, developing a state-of-the-art centre to meet online demand.
Built the first-of-its-kind studio complex in The Alima Centre to produce bespoke video training.
Launched our sustainable cleaning solution Hygiene Bombs to reduce emissions and plastic in landfills..
Welcomed and developed the new UK HQ for I Team at The Alima Centre.
Launched a new Wray Bros website, representing a major digital investment.
Achieved certification in Feb 2025, reinforcing our sustainability journey and commitment to reducing impact.
Jayne joined Wray Bros when she was just 18, becoming our very first employee. Almost 40 years on, she’s now our Purchasing Manager, bringing her knowledge and experience to ensure everything runs smoothly. Her expertise makes her a trusted part of the team and a familiar face to our suppliers. As we celebrate 40 years in business, we’re delighted to recognise Jayne’s long-standing contribution and the role she’s played in our journey.
